Jake bought a knife sharpener on Sunday and sharpened all our knifes that night.
I bought potatoes on Monday and Jake started slicing them that night.
Five minutes later Jake did not have the tip of his left pinky.
We were sad to see it go...but we had no choice.

oh dear.... so, define "tip" ... did you have to go to the hospital? will it "grow" back... is he ok??????
he is okay, but it was the most pain i have ever seen jake in...
tip = not deep enough to hit the nail but definitely nerve endings and finger print are gone. we think it will grow back.
ow...ow. poor little pinky. And that is why I'm scared of knives.
