paint the pavement

Yesterday, our neighborhood painted our intersection in a project called Paint the Pavement. Jake and I volunteered on the planning committee and have been working on this project with some other neighbors.

Jake was the designer and the Paint Master for the day. Mary came up and so did my parents! It was an awesome day with beautiful weather and a great community turn out.

I watched toddlers paint outside the lines and didn't even freak out.

Here are some photos from the day -

marissa - yeah, the project is such a great idea and we had a lot of fun helping out! so glad you are getting better.

april - there have been three or four other intersections in just our neighborhood that have done this project (i do not know of other places in St. Paul or Minneapolis though...). you should really check out the website that i linked. the project is meant to build community, beautify the neighborhood, and slow traffic. which pretty much means this is the perfect project for people to get involved with!!! :)
