Had another wedding this weekend. There was almost a two hour gap from the end of the ceremony to the start of the reception...we brought a laptop and watched The Wedding Date at a park.
As we were watching our movie, an older woman sat at the table behind us. I turned around and watched her take out of her bag hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and a fork. She then proceeded to peel the eggs and make the egg salad. At a park...? Is that weird?
I guess we were watching a romantic comedy at a park.

What an incredible dress!
I think I will stick to peanut butter sandwiches at the park
the dress is awesome!
It is a beautiful dress.
I think I would have made the egg salad at home...
The dress is lovely, the flowers too.
I guess she could have done a little more preparing at home and a little less in the park, but really, now she can say she was making her lunch in the park!
The dress IS incredible. I love wedding pictures. I also love watching movies on a laptop and other people looking at you as though you've 2 heads.
We watched a whole movie once in our car at a rest stop. They all thought we were freaks!
How do you like living in Ames?
I'm not sure who that bride is, but I love those dresses with the tie-up criss cross thingies!! Beautiful.
Why do so many people get married in July and August? Is it the weather?
And I think it is sorta weird. The eggs thing.
That is too funny! Well maybe both of you were being resourceful, you with your laptop and her with the egg salad! :) Really funny! At least you had a great way to pass the time. And I agree with everyone, that dress is incredible!
Yeah, the dress was really beautiful...the front of it was beautiful too.
The bride is a fashion designer and she had originally designed her wedding dress. I guess the dressmaker really messed up and the dress was ruined a few days before the wedding! So, she found this dress the day before the wedding! Isn't that crazy!!!! I would have loved to see the one she had designed though...even though this one was beautiful.
The smell from that ladies egg salad was not what we were expecting from a park...but eventually she finished and left...so we could enjoy our movie! :)
Jayleigh - Living in Ames is going great! I am setting up my new apartment as I type! Thanks for asking!
Kiki - I definitely think it is the weather, the sun, the colors, and the vacation time people have saved up over the winter. It is crazy how many weddings I have been to this summer though! It gets expensive.
