next blog

Right now I feel really really small. I feel alone. Not sad alone, not really lonely, just small.

I was just surfing Blogger blogs. I read posts and comments and witnessed as cyber relationships formed, people sharing their lives with individuals from another place.

The comments I receive from people make me happy. To know that someone randomly living in this world actually took the time...well, it just amazes and astounds me to no end.

Chance. Choice. Randomness. Who are we all and what are we doing?

I have tears of pure emotion. I am real.

That you stumbled upon my blog is wonderful; that I am able to write back to you is affirming. There are no coincidences. If you need a friend, a voice, an ear, a cyber-shoulder, my e-mail is on my profile. Your writing compells me. I want to know that you are well.

Know that I am well. Just acutely conscious of my existence and everyone else's...(which is sorta freaking me out)!

Thank you Ari.

i completely agree with the sentiments you wrote on ari's site. and think that forging a little cyber community is a way to, not necessarily feel less small (because i can certainly identify with that) but have other people to comiserate with, share happiness, wonder, questions and writing.

I always love coming to your blog. Your life seems very exciting sometimes and other times, just really real and ordinary. You love with your whole heart and you're very sensitive to people's feelings.

Keep blogging, Anne. You are amazing in your own way.

Thank you for your thoughts...because they made me look at what I was feeling (so intensely) last night differently. We really are closer to one another and more alike than different.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate you.

I don't think I could stop blogging now if I tried...I might be addicted! ha!

OK this is just weird. My real last name starts with K.

yeah, amazing, isn`t it, how we are willing to share our lives and thoughts with total strangers.

food for thought:

if we are willing to share lives with stangers, then why is it so hard to share it with the person closest to us?

i linked your blog from mine.

hope it`s cool.

Shortly after reading your post, I received a card in the mail, the cover of which read: "She said she usually cried at least once each day, not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short.'' So there you have it -- synchronicity and serendipity at work in the midst of an otherwise ordinary, hot summer day. "Who are we all and what are we doing?" We are here to take measure of that synchronicity and serendipity; stand in awe of it being bigger than us (hence our occasionally feeling really really small); and then to live joyfully and graciously in response.

I read your blogs often and feel like we just had a conversation with you telling me all about your day. You are so eloquent in the way you describe your day/life. You have great pictures! I hope I will see you soon when you come down to Mankato. I miss you my friend and think of you ofte

Anne Arkham,

So glad you stopped by! I enjoy your blog! You are so funny!

Still Figuring Out,

It is amazing.
I think that we are somewhat less vulnerable out here (on the Internet I mean) we really can say what is on our heart and mind...there is no "weird look in someone's eye" no "sarcastic tone in their voice" or any "disapproving looks"...we just have to write our words truthfully and hope that-who-we-are- comes across as true and good.

p.s. The link is AOK by me!

Religion Ed,

You always have such wonderfully comforting words. Thank you.

I miss you too!

Anne, I stumbled upon your blog through Amanda's and I am hooked. I am from MN but live in NY now. Your blog reminds me of all of the reasons why I love MN ('cause the people are amazing, non?) You have definitely captured my attention, which is not an easy thing to do!

Thank you so much Mindy. I am so glad that you found me!

It is a small world...but I think we are all blogging! ha!
