And for some reason I have the day off today (even though it is my last week of work and I need all the money I can get...my manager still gives me a day off! Gee, thanks!).

Anyway, I of course want to be productive on my day off...but as of yet, this has not occurred. I have however, slept all morning, checked my e-mail and blogged, ate some Grape Nuts, and now I am thinking about reading my book...or maybe not.

You should have a day to relax a bit, there is nothing wrong with that. Enjoy your time off before your move. Leisurely days are usually really good for rejuvenating yourself!

We all derserve a day to relax and do nothing. Sunday I slept off and on the entire day, waking up in spurts to read and eat sunflower seeds, then nodding off again. It was wonderful.

Christa---Later in the day I went to dinner at a little cafe and then out for ice cream, it was great.

Jayleigh---I know, isn't that silly?

Ari---Crazy, your Sunday sounds like my Sunday, except I got up to eat chips and salsa!

The best part of my day off was that I didn't wash my dishes or do my laundry.

anne, do you dabble in photography? i have found myself lately drawn to capturing images i see, particularly here in NY, on film (or memory stick, whatever.) anyway, this is the same way i would react to a day like this...but remind yourself that you do deserve some relaxation...sounds like an amazing day! what are you going to be doing now that you are "unemployed?" i have to say, i am jealous!

Thanks Jayleigh---I do have to credit my friend Casey for the book shot though. He was showing me how to use his camera and snapped this awesome shot!

Still Figuring Out---that sounds wonderful!

Amanda---I love taking pictures. I am constantly walking around with a "view finder" in my head. Whenever I can borrow a digital camera I do, that is where most of the pictures on my blog come from. I am saving up to buy one for myself (now that I am unemployed...it might be awhile! ha!).

As for not having a job...I cannot wait. I am going to take these next months and focus on starting my new adventure (which is moving to Ames, Iowa to finally be with Jake!). So I will continue to look for a job and an apartment...but also hopefully get some projects done. I want to go home and hang with my parents for awhile, write letters to friends, maybe take a road trip somewhere...I have set no definite plans for myself. Should be interesting!

Curious Servant---I think this book is for anyone, because it makes you think and it will definitely make you laugh.

This is from the the first two pages of the book;

Nick Hornby says, "I love Sarah Vowell's writing--it's smart, funny, soulful, even education. This wonderful collection is about democracy, sleep, religion, pop music, and just about everything else that matters, and if you don't find something in here that makes perfect sense to you, I can only imagine that you gave up reading, thinking, and laughing some time ago."
